Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Epilog and SeizureDiary.com, including private email sign-in, server sync, and linked cloud files.
Last updated: 6 May 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
By using Epilog or SeizureDiary.com, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or the app.
2. What Epilog provides
Epilog provides a seizure diary and care coordination tool. It can help you record events, medication history, appointments, contacts, costs, reports, private server sync, and linked media.
3. Sign-in
Epilog uses private Firebase email/password sign-in for approved family email accounts.
You are responsible for protecting your account and for making sure the email you use with Epilog is the one you want connected to your private records.
4. Not medical advice and not emergency care
Epilog is an organisational tool, not a doctor, hospital, emergency warning system, or substitute for clinical judgment.
- It does not give medical advice.
- It does not monitor you in real time for emergencies.
- It should not be relied on as the sole source of information in an urgent medical situation.
If someone is in danger or needs urgent care, call emergency services or seek immediate medical assistance.
5. Your records and your responsibility
You remain responsible for the information you enter, upload, link, download, export, or delete through Epilog.
You should:
- review records before relying on them in appointments or handovers
- protect the device and browser you use
- protect your Epilog email/password account
- keep your own exports or backups if the information is important
6. Uploads, media, and linked files
You retain responsibility for the content you create, upload, or link through Epilog, including notes, seizure records, documents, photos, and videos.
If you link a file from another cloud storage service or file host, the file remains subject to that provider's own terms and availability.
You must not use Epilog to upload unlawful, abusive, infringing, or malicious content, or content you do not have the right to use.
7. Server sync and third-party services
Epilog syncs app records to private Firebase/Firestore documents so your records can sync between sessions or devices after sign-in.
Firebase, Vercel, ArcGIS address suggestions, and any linked external cloud file services are third-party services governed by their own terms and policies. Epilog cannot guarantee the continued availability or behaviour of those services.
8. Availability and changes
Epilog is provided on an "as available" basis. Features may change, be improved, be removed, or be temporarily unavailable without notice.
We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service, including public pages, backup flows, or integrations, if needed.
9. No warranty
To the extent permitted by law, Epilog and SeizureDiary.com are provided without guarantees or warranties that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the site operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss arising from use of the service, including data loss, interruption, reliance on reports, or third-party service failures.
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
11. Privacy
Your use of Epilog is also subject to the Privacy Policy, which explains how private sign-in works and where private records are stored.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will be published on SeizureDiary.com with the updated date shown on this page.
13. Contact
For questions about these terms, you can contact the site operator at skughole@gmail.com.
